Make Movie with iMovie on MacBook Pro
- I accidentally uninstalled my iMovie from my MacBook Pro mid 2009. Thing is, when I go to the app store and try to reinstall it, I can't – my system's too old. When I try to get an old version of iMovie, they're just updates – not the core application itself.
- Search on the Dock (the bar at the bottom of the display) the iMovie icon. If you don't find it, you should have the DVDs that came with the MacBook. The Mac OS X Install Disc 2 includes the iLife apps (iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, iWeb and GarageBand), so just insert it and install them.
- I recently had to reset my 2010 Macbook Pro (i5, 4GB) to factory settings, then dowloaded OSX Sierra (10.12.5), which worked fine but I lost iMovie. The free iMovie at the App Store is for 2011 Mac Pro or later.
